Hello Interneters! Well! The Holiday season is once again approaching, which means the time for taking epic holiday card photos is also approaching. Every year my husband, our dogs and I take some sort of funny/ unique holiday photo and send it out in card form to our nearest and dearest (plus a few others, like Ellen and The President). With so many years behind us, the pressure for amazing photos has grown and grown…
In any case! Who knows what I will come up with this year (I am certainly running out of ideas), but I can help YOU come up with your card by sharing a DIY for a Holiday Themed Photo Wall! I used this wall for our holiday card and then used it again at a holiday party as a photo booth. Both were fun and the results were great. Our card is below.
It’s nearly Fall. I’m excited. Why am I excited you ask?
Well! Let me tell you amazing Blog readers! Because the lovely season of Fall means it’s boot season (I heart me some boots), fashion hits a high note (and sometimes I get to buy a few new things), I get to make a brand new obsession board for creation inspiration, which, in turn, means I get to have all kinds of fun experimenting with DIY, art and design projects.
Yes, in the next month or so, I will be making a whole bunch of fun things inspired by this here obsession board. I am calling the board “Moto Scot.” A tribute to the fashion-inspired biker, moto trend I love so much and Scotland. Why Scotland? Well. I can’t think of why. Perhaps it’s a subconscious choice because I am currently also obsessed with the Outlander Series on Stars (and there is all kinds of mouthwatering kilts and Scottish accents flying around in the series; who doesn’t love that?!?).
So! follow along in the near future to see what we create.
Looking for where to find the glorious things on our board? See our “Obsessions” Pinterest Board for links to where to buy/ find these great things below!
Just a quick post to brag about a press mention in the July 2014 issue of 5280 Magazine! We’re in great company in this article which highlights us and other creative establishments that will get you making this Summer. Check the article out here!
Thanks 5280 for the sweet shout out and pic of our amazing patrons!
It’s no secret. I’m obsessed with my dogs. I have two of them. They are both French Bulldogs. They are my fur children. Don’t judge. Or do. Either way, I am still obsessed.
Here is a photo of them very hard at work at the LoDo, Denver Upstairs Circus Bar. King Louis is the gray and white puppers. Mr. T. is the fawn with the eyes that don’t quite look in the same direction. Poor guy.
Thought we’d post this seriously easy and seriously cheap DIY project for the world to enjoy. This project was originally made for 5280 Magazine, who is running a pre-teen craft feature in their July 2014 edition. Our lives are DIY, their offices are behind our LoDo shop, we love quite a few people who work there, so we thought we would help!
The bag turned out way more chic than we originally thought it would. Very Boho. Very Hipster. Very Circus!
Happy making makers!

Today’s featured project: Herbs for the Host/ Hostess. A great gift to give to any hardworking Thanksgiving Day host.
We started with plain old mugs and ended with sheer beauty, usefulness and a side of garden fresh scent. Visit us to do the same!
Come join us for our very FIRST Project Socials: Tuesday Nov. 26 and Wednesday Nov. 27 to make this, or one of three other spectacular Turkey Day themed projects! (Click links to buy tickets to the Socials or here to see our calendar)
Taking beautiful pictures of any objects starts with a nicely lit set to take those pictures. This DIY photo tutorial lays out the steps for creating a collapsible (and cheap) photo lightbox so you, too, can start taking beautiful photos.
