Upstairs Circus is looking for friendly, smart, people-loving individuals who have a passion for creating and a track record of success in the service industry.

Upstairs Circus is a creative entertainment venue (DIY workshop-meets-bar). Our slogan “Create, Drink & Be Merry” covers it all: Upstairs Circus patrons make DIY projects, enjoy libations and have a great time while doing both.


Responsibilities May Include:

– Providing excellent customer service to all patrons
– Checking customers into Project Socials
– Welcoming patrons and directing them as needed
– Handing out project kits and tools
– Acting as a “Project Assistant” to patrons in the shop, giving tips and tricks to customers to ensure each patron leaves happy with a successful project
– Bringing a sense of liveliness to events
– Acting as a bartender when needed
– Shop and bar set-up and clean-up
– Responsible liquor service, including beer, wine and cocktails
– Working various daytime retail hours and normal night and weekend hours
– Inventory assistance


Requirements:

– Day time availability
– Available nights and weekends
– Willing to work around the holidays
– Service industry experience (server or bartender preferred)
– 21 years or older
– Friendly and outgoing personality
– Responsible self-starter
– Problem solver
– Must love all things Art, Design and D.I.Y. related
– TIPS (Responsible Alcohol Service) Certification (can be taken once hired)

Upstairs Circus currently has five retail locations (in CO, TX, MN) and plans to continue growing throughout the US.

Job Summary:

Are you a creative person who also thinks methodically? Do you want to work for a locally owned company in the heart of RiNo? As a Creative Production Assistant you will work out of our studio workshop in RiNo along a team to assemble and prepare a variety of project and craft kits for our Upstairs Circus venues. Some of the preparation will include cutting leather, cord, chain, bagging concrete, bagging hardware and assembling various raw materials into kits.

This is an ideal position for someone with high attention to detail, requires minimal supervision, and possesses the ability to execute delegated tasks with excellent time management skills. Responsibilities:

– Reliably show up to work on time, ready to perform.
– Have an upbeat, friendly attitude.
– Assemble various raw materials into project kits to be shipped to our various Upstairs Circus locations.
– Ensure all work is accurate and consistent.
– Track and record completed work.
– Think outside the box / creative problem-solving.
– Communicate daily with management regarding material quantity and quality.
– Assist in unpacking and putting away shipments.
– Daily upkeep of work environment.

Requirements:

– Available Monday-Friday 8-4p
– Part-Time: 20-40 hours/week
