Making-N-Mimosas is our signature weekend Project Social where creativity, cocktails, music, and connection all collide inside our hip, design-forward DIY bar environment. Think great playlists, clinking glasses, groups celebrating birthdays, couples on dates, friends catching up, and strangers becoming friends over paint, leather, jewelry, wood, and maybe one more mimosa.

And yes… the mimosas during Making N Mimosas are bottomless.*

This is not a step-by-step class and it is definitely not your average craft experience. Upstairs Circus is designed to give you the freedom to create at your own pace while having a good time doing it. You choose your own project, grab a drink, settle in at your table, and let the chaos, creativity, and cocktails do their thing.

Whether you’re planning a group day out, celebrating something big, skipping the usual brunch routine for an activity, meeting up with coworkers, or just looking for a wildly fun daytime experience, you’re in the right place. Making-N-Mimosas is a weekend, phone down, vibe up kind of event.

– WHAT TO EXPECT –

🎨 MAKE:

Choose any project from our curated menu of 30+ designer DIY projects including leatherworking, jewelry making, woodworking, art, home décor, and more.

Every person in your group can choose a completely different project and still sit together while creating. So yes, your friend can make jewelry while you make a leather project and someone else in your group channels their inner Bob Ross; we fully support creative chaos!

Once you pick your project, we provide:

All tools and supplies
Workspace for you to create
A photo tutorial with step-by-step visuals
Access to our Creative Assistants if you need help, advice, encouragement or a back-up creator

We are not a traditional instructor-led workshop. We believe creativity should feel social, flexible, and fun. Work at your own pace, take breaks for drinks, wander the bar, hype up your friends, and enjoy the experience.

Bottomless mimosas are included during Making-N-Mimosas because DIY projects are simply better with a drink in hand.

Bottomless Mimosas start at 11:00am and end at 1:00pm, and, as always, responsible liquor service applies.

If you prefer not to participate in bottomless mimosas, a $9 discount will be applied to your experience.

🕒 WHEN:

Making-N-Mimosas takes place:

Saturdays & Sundays: 11:00am – 2:00pm

Doors open at 11am with arrival times of 11 or 11:30 available (chosen during reservation). With that said, we recommend arriving within the first 30 minutes so you have plenty of time to settle in, choose your project, and enjoy your full mimosa experience. Mimosa service ends at 1pm, no matter what time you arrive.

Most projects take between 1–3 hours depending on your pace and how much socializing is happening at your table.

* Bottomless mimosa service lasts for 2 hours during Making-N-Mimosas- from 11am to 1pm- and is subject to responsible liquor service.

Making-N-Mimosas is $52 per person and includes:

All tools, materials, space and assistance
Bottomless mimosas during the Project Social

Not drinking mimosas? No problem. Guests who skip the mimosas receive a $9 discount.

Reservations are free to make; payment is taken at the event.
A tab will be started at check-in for your DIY experience and any additional drinks or purchases.

Taxes and gratuity are not included (20% gratuity is recommended for our Creative Assistants).

🪩 FLOW:

Here’s how your Making-N-Mimosas Project Social actually goes down:

You’ll arrive and check in at the front desk, where we’ll check your ID and start a tab with a credit card. Bring both!

Once you’re checked in, we’ll give you a toy animal to trade for your project supplies at Project Pickup. It’s weird. It’s fun. It’s how we know you’re officially in the Circus.

Next, grab your first mimosa from the bar if you’re enjoying bottomless mimosas, then head to your seat. From there, you can browse the Project Menu and Idea Book, check out our wall of project examples, ask questions, and figure out what you want to make.

Once you’ve chosen your project, head to Project Pickup, trade in your animal, and grab your supplies, tools, and photo tutorial. Need extra flair? Visit our paint, string, and accouterments wall to personalize your DIY.

Then settle in, sip, create, laugh, try something new, and make your masterpiece (or at least make a memory!). Our Creative Assistants will be around to help, cheer you on, answer questions, and refill mimosas along the way.

This is a fluid Project Social, so you’re free to get up, visit the bar, grab additional supplies, take photos, or order anything else you want throughout the experience.

Done early? Second projects are half off.
Not finished in time? No worries. We can send supplies home with you.

We’ll give time warnings as the Project Social winds down so you know how much time you have left. When you’re done, head back to check-in/check-out to close your tab for your project, drinks, and any purchases.

Before you go, hit the photo wall and show off what you made. You did the thing. Take a pic. Be proud. Share it with the world.

Large groups can book through the same reservation system as small groups using the event list below, but are also required to complete a Large Party Agreement and hold their reservation with a credit card in order to finalize their booking.
