Sangria Sunday Funday combines DIY projects, cocktails, music, creativity, and laid-back social energy into the ultimate Sunday afternoon hangout. Think good playlists, friends lingering over drinks, colorful projects spread across the table, and one last great weekend memory before Monday shows up.
Every Sangria Sunday Funday Project Social includes:
One Strongman’s Punch – our signature sangria cocktail made for sipping while you DIY.
Whether you’re recovering from the weekend, extending the weekend, catching up with friends, planning a casual date, or simply refusing to waste a perfectly good Sunday afternoon, you’re in the right place.
– WHAT TO EXPECT –
🎨 MAKE:
Choose any project from our curated menu of 30+ designer DIY projects including leatherworking, jewelry making, woodworking, art, home décor, and more.
Every guest can choose a completely different project while still sitting together at the same table. So yes, your friend can make jewelry while you customize leather goods and someone else paints, stains, hammers, or glues their way into a masterpiece across the table.
And. No experience needed. Seriously.
Once you pick your project, we provide:
- All tools and supplies
- Workspace for you to create
- A photo tutorial with step-by-step visuals
- Access to our Creative Assistants if you need help, advice, encouragement or a back-up creator

This is not a step-by-step classroom experience. Sangria Sunday Funday is designed to feel social, relaxed, and creative. Sip wine, catch up with your people, laugh a little louder as the night goes on, and create at your own pace while the music and good vibes do their thing around you.

During Sangria Sunday Funday Project Socials, guests enjoy:
One complimentary Strongman’s Punch. Our Strongman’s Punch is Upstairs Circus’ signature sangria cocktail and the official drink of pretending the weekend isn’t ending. Prefer alcohol-free? One mocktail may be substituted instead.
Our full bar also features:
- Other craft cocktails
- Beer
- Mocktails
- N/A bevys
- Seasonal specials
- And plenty of “creative juice”
Additional drinks are available à la carte and are not included in the price of the experience.
🕒 WHEN:
Sangria Sunday Funday Project Socials take place:
- Sunday Afternoons: 3–6pm
Reservations are made using flexible arrival times, so you don’t have to arrive at one exact moment. Sunday Funday guests typically arrive between 3–3:30pm. Choose your arrival time while making a reservation!
Most guests spend about 2–3 hours creating, socializing, sipping cocktails, and having an unexpectedly good time. Most DIY projects take between 1–3 hours depending on your pace and how much socializing is happening at your table.

Sangria Sunday Funday Project Social pricing is $43 per person and includes:
- Your choice of DIY project from our 30+ project menu
- All tools, materials, space and assistance
- Custom designs, stencils, and personalization options
- One Strongman’s Punch Sangria cocktail (or mocktail substitution)
Reservations are free to make; payment happens at the event.
Additional drinks are available à la carte and are not included in the price of the experience. Cocktails, beer, mocktails, and other beverages typically range from $7–14.
A tab will be started at check-in for your DIY experience and any additional drinks or purchases.
Taxes and gratuity are not included (20% gratuity is recommended for our Creative Assistants).
🪩 FLOW:
Here’s how your Sangria Sunday Funday Project Social actually goes down:
You’ll arrive and check in at the front desk, where we’ll check your ID and start a tab with a credit card. Bring both!
Once you’re checked in, we’ll give you a toy animal to trade for your project supplies at Project Pickup. It’s weird. It’s fun. It’s how we know you’re officially in the Circus.
Next, you’ll grab a Strongman’s Punch and be shown your seat. From there, you can browse the Project Menu and Idea Book, check out our wall of project examples, ask questions, and figure out what you want to make. At any point, feel free to head to the bar for any additional cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, or other “creative juices.”
Once you’ve chosen your project, head to Project Pickup, trade in your animal, and grab your supplies, tools, and photo tutorial. Need extra flair? Visit our paint, string, and accoutrements wall to personalize your DIY.
Then settle in, sip, create, laugh, try something new, and make your masterpiece. Or at least make a memory. Our Creative Assistants will be around throughout the event to help, cheer you on, answer questions, and keep the good vibes flowing.
This is a fluid Project Social, so feel free to get up, visit the bar, grab additional supplies, take photos, or order another round whenever the mood strikes.
Finished early? Second projects are half off.
Not finished in time? No worries. We can send supplies home with you so you can complete your project later.
We’ll give time warnings as the Project Social winds down so you know how much time remains. When you’re done, head back to check-out to close your tab for your project, drinks, and any additional purchases.
Before you leave, hit the photo wall and show off what you made. You did the thing. Take a pic. Be proud. Share it with the world.

Reserve your seats directly through the event list below or one of our event calendars. Reservations are free, easy to make and can be managed online once made!
Payment happens at the event and guests may pay separately.
🎉 Large Groups (8+ Guests)
Celebrating something big? We love groups!
Large groups can book through the same reservation system as small groups using the event list below, but are also required to complete a Large Party Agreement and hold their reservation with a credit card in order to finalize their booking.
